Heidi Miller

Board of Directors

Heidi Miller is the co-founder of the Sherry Black Foundation. She and her husband, Greg, established the nonprofit because of their shared goal of enriching the lives of others. The Foundation focuses on organizing unique training opportunities in advanced crime scene analysis techniques. These techniques help solve crimes through the transfer of knowledge to police departments and related law enforcement agencies.

For the past eight years, Miller has also assisted in the fundraising efforts for Primary Children’s Hospital located in Salt Lake City by decorating and donating a Christmas tree and related display for the annual Festival of Trees. Her efforts are in memory of her late mother, Sherry Black. Miller plans and works on the tree throughout the year with her daughters and very close friends. It is one of her most rewarding projects each year.

In 2015-17, Miller was the Chair of the Board of Directors for Operation Underground Railroad, a nonprofit focusing on anti-child trafficking efforts to bring an end to child exploitation and child slavery worldwide.

When Miller is not donating her time to philanthropic causes, she is fulfilling her passion as a reader of many genres. She also plans a special trip each year with her daughters and daughters-in-law to ensure that she has quality time with them away from their busy daily lives.

Heidi is married to American Businessman Greg Miller. They reside in Salt Lake City and are the proud parents of six children, and grandparents to nine.
