1988 FJ62 Two Tone Grey

SOLD $52,000.00

The Land Cruiser Heritage Museum is offering an opportunity for a Land Cruiser enthusiast to purchase a vehicle currently in the museum's collection. Offered for sale is a 1988 US market FJ62, manufactured in January of 1988.

The powertrain consists of a 3FE engine with an A440 automatic transmission. The transfer case is a Toyota split case. The axles appear to be original and exhibit little rust. The vehicle is equipped with power steering, power brakes, power antenna, power locks (some intermittent issues), power mirrors, power windows and R134 air conditioning.

The chassis has very minor surface rust where bare metal is exposed. The shock absorbers are KYB and appear new. The tires are late 2019-dated Good Year Wrangler Radials on factory chrome steel spoke wheels. There is a matching spare tire and chrome wheel. The wheels and hub caps are in excellent condition.

The interior is grey and in very good over-all condition. Small wear can be found at driver’s seat near the reclining lever. The original factory accessory floor mats are included. The dash pad is in excellent condition and the original radio is present.

The exterior is two tone silver/grey. The body panels are straight except for a few minor scratches and a small dent on the left roof edge. There is a small dent at the bottom of the right rocker panel. There is no visible rust on the exterior body. The glass is intact and in good condition.

History shows the vehicle was involved in a minor collision with a wire fence that required replacement of the front bumper and refinishing of the hood, front fenders, and a blend of the front doors.

The odometer shows 158,001 miles and is thought to be actual but there are no records are available. This is a remarkable rust-free example of a classic FJ62. Persons familiar with FJ60s and FJ62s will be pleasantly surprised when they look under it.

The vehicle is offered at $52,000.00 and can be inspected during regular business hours in downtown Salt Lake City, UT. Contact Dan Busey at 505-615-5470 or email .
